And there they left their images, and David and his men burned them.


Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years, and departed without being desired. Howbeit they buried him in the city of David, but not in the sepulchres of the kings.


I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.


If I go forth into the field, then behold the slain with the sword! and if I enter into the city, then behold them that are sick with famine! yea, both the prophet and the priest go about into a land that they know not.


Then said the Lord unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.


and ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me:


And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue from thine heritage that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn for ever.


But to the land whereunto they desire to return, thither shall they not return.


Thus saith the Lord, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah.


The Lord showed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the Lord, after that Nebuchadrez´zar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconi´ah the son of Jehoi´akim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.


which Nebuchadnez´zar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconi´ah the son of Jehoi´akim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;


And king Zedeki´ah the son of Josi´ah reigned instead of Coni´ah the son of Jehoi´akim, whom Nebuchadrez´zar king of Babylon made king in the land of Judah.


There shall be lamentation generally upon all the housetops of Moab, and in the streets thereof: for I have broken Moab like a vessel wherein is no pleasure, saith the Lord.


Though he be fruitful among his brethren, an east wind shall come, the wind of the Lord shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall spoil the treasure of all pleasant vessels.


Israel is swallowed up: now shall they be among the Gentiles as a vessel wherein is no pleasure.
