If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding mine iniquity in my bosom:


Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.


He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.


Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezeki´ah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezeki´ah said, They are come from a far country unto me, even from Babylon.


Then said Isaiah to Hezeki´ah, Hear the word of the Lord of hosts:


O my mountain in the field, I will give thy substance and all thy treasures to the spoil, and thy high places for sin, throughout all thy borders.


And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to the Lord God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me.


If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
