Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee.


Yet the defensed city shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof.


Then shall the lambs feed after their manner, and the waste places of the fat ones shall strangers eat.


And it shall come to pass in that day, that a man shall nourish a young cow and two sheep;


and it shall come to pass, for the abundance of milk that they shall give, he shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat that is left in the land.


O inhabitant of Aro´er, stand by the way, and espy; ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth, and say, What is done?


And the carcasses of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall fray them away.


And I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and the Ammonites a couching place for flocks: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.


after that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.


But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the Lord of hosts hath spoken it.


And the seacoast shall be dwellings and cottages for shepherds, and folds for flocks.


And the children of Gad built Dibon, and At´aroth, and Aro´er,


From Aro´er, which is by the brink of the river of Arnon, and from the city that is by the river, even unto Gil´e-ad, there was not one city too strong for us: the Lord our God delivered all unto us:


And this land, which we possessed at that time, from Aro´er, which is by the river Arnon, and half mount Gil´e-ad, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites.


And their coast was from Aro´er, that is on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river, and all the plain by Me´deba;


And their coast was Jazer, and all the cities of Gil´e-ad, and half the land of the children of Ammon, unto Aro´er that is before Rabbah;
