And Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. And Jehu wrote letters, and sent to Samaria, unto the rulers of Jezreel, to the elders, and to them that brought up Ahab's children, saying,


And when he came to Samaria, he slew all that remained unto Ahab in Samaria, till he had destroyed him, according to the saying of the Lord, which he spake to Eli´jah.


In the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tig´lath–pile´ser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and A´bel–beth–ma´achah, and Jano´ah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gil´e-ad, and Galilee, all the land of Naph´tali, and carried them captive to Assyria.


In the thirty and eighth year of Azari´ah king of Judah did Zachari´ah the son of Jerobo´am reign over Israel in Samaria six months.


Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Imman´u-el.

Then said God, Call his name Lo–am´mi: for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God.


And I will visit upon her the days of Ba´alim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat me, saith the Lord.


and the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel.


My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.


Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the Lord.


And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.


But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zechari´ah: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.


And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.
