And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manas´seh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house.


And unto Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manas´seh and E´phra-im, which As´enath the daughter of Potiphe´rah priest of On bare unto him.


And Joseph brought them out from between his knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth.


And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon E´phra-im's head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manas´seh's head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manas´seh was the firstborn.


The sons of Joseph after their families were Manas´seh and E´phra-im.


and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
