Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begat Lot.


and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:


And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.


And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged.


Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof.

How shall I give thee up, E´phra-im? how shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I set thee as Zebo´im? mine heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.


but because the Lord loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.


Remember thy servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; look not unto the stubbornness of this people, nor to their wickedness, nor to their sin:


Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.


and delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
