Ele-a´zar begat Phin´ehas, Phin´ehas begat Abishu´a,


And, behold, Amari´ah the chief priest is over you in all matters of the Lord; and Zebadi´ah the son of Ish´ma-el, the ruler of the house of Judah, for all the king's matters: also the Levites shall be officers before you. Deal courageously, and the Lord shall be with the good.


And Azari´ah the chief priest, and all the priests, looked upon him, and, behold, he was leprous in his forehead, and they thrust him out from thence; yea, himself hasted also to go out, because the Lord had smitten him.


the son of Zerahi´ah, the son of Uzzi, the son of Bukki,


this Ezra went up from Babylon; and he was a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the Lord God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the Lord his God upon him.


And Ele-a´zar Aaron's son took him one of the daughters of Pu´ti-el to wife; and she bare him Phin´ehas: these are the heads of the fathers of the Levites according to their families.


And Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto Ele-a´zar and unto Ith´amar, his sons that were left, Take the meat offering that remaineth of the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and eat it without leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy.


And Moses diligently sought the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burnt: and he was angry with Ele-a´zar and Ith´amar, the sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying,


And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Ele-a´zar and unto Ith´amar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the Lord hath kindled.


And they stood before Moses, and before Ele-a´zar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,


And Ele-a´zar the son of Aaron the priest shall be chief over the chief of the Levites, and have the oversight of them that keep the charge of the sanctuary.


And Moses and Ele-a´zar the priest did as the Lord commanded Moses.


And Moses and Ele-a´zar the priest took the gold of the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the tabernacle of the congregation, for a memorial for the children of Israel before the Lord.


And Moses sent them to the war, a thousand of every tribe, them and Phin´ehas the son of Ele-a´zar the priest, to the war, with the holy instruments, and the trumpets to blow in his hand.


And no man taketh this honor unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.


And these are the countries which the children of Israel inherited in the land of Canaan, which Ele-a´zar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed for inheritance to them.


And the children of Israel sent unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half tribe of Manas´seh, into the land of Gil´e-ad, Phin´ehas the son of Ele-a´zar the priest,


And Phin´ehas the son of Ele-a´zar the priest said unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the children of Manas´seh, This day we perceive that the Lord is among us, because ye have not committed this trespass against the Lord: now ye have delivered the children of Israel out of the hand of the Lord.


And Ele-a´zar the son of Aaron died; and they buried him in a hill that pertained to Phin´ehas his son, which was given him in mount E´phra-im.


and Phin´ehas, the son of Ele-a´zar, the son of Aaron, stood before it in those days,) saying, Shall I yet again go out to battle against the children of Benjamin my brother, or shall I cease? And the Lord said, Go up; for tomorrow I will deliver them into thine hand.
