Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.


And whosoever remaineth in any place where he sojourneth, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, besides the freewill offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.


Now on the fourth day was the silver and the gold and the vessels weighed in the house of our God by the hand of Mer´emoth the son of Uri´ah the priest; and with him was Ele-a´zar the son of Phin´ehas; and with them was Joz´abad the son of Jesh´u-a, and Noadi´ah the son of Bin´nu-i, Levites;


For they all made us afraid, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.


He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captives.


Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.


And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment:


and the Lord gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required: and they spoiled the Egyptians.


Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.


Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
