Thus the Lord saved Hezeki´ah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennach´erib the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all other, and guided them on every side.


And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.


Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.


The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.


The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies.


Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.


And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will show to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more for ever.


Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where is he that put his Holy Spirit within him?


For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour.


In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.


But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the Lord their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.


Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?


I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.


And the Lord said unto the children of Israel, Did not I deliver you from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines?


And Saul said, There shall not a man be put to death this day: for today the Lord hath wrought salvation in Israel.


So the Lord saved Israel that day: and the battle passed over unto Beth–a´ven.
