Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.


And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death.


but the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter.

even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savor.


Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.


So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.


Nevertheless, let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.


Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
