Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear thy wisdom.


And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.


And the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.


The Proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel:


The Proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.


These are also proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezeki´ah king of Judah copied out.


And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness, as the stars for ever and ever.
