And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.


And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.


And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.


For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.


according to all that thou desiredst of the Lord thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.


And the Lord said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.


And he said, The Lord came from Si´nai, and rose up from Se´ir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.


and ye said, Behold, the Lord our God hath showed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.


and the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard entreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:


for our God is a consuming fire.
