After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.


And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.


In thoughts from the visions of the night, when deep sleep falleth on men,


Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever:


Moreover the Lord said unto me, Take thee a great roll, and write in it with a man's pen concerning Ma´her–shal´al–hash´–baz.


The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the Lord.


And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him.


Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neri´ah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoi´akim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words.


Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neri´ah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the Lord, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book.


Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.


In the visions of God brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high mountain, by which was as the frame of a city on the south.


As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.


And in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnez´zar, Nebuchadnez´zar dreamed dreams, wherewith his spirit was troubled, and his sleep brake from him.


The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshaz´zar, Art thou able to make known unto me the dream which I have seen, and the interpretation thereof?


I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and a holy one came down from heaven;


I saw a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of my head troubled me.


Belshaz´zar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine before the thousand.


And thou his son, O Belshaz´zar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;


In that night was Belshaz´zar the king of the Chalde´ans slain.


I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.


I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.


After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.


In the third year of the reign of king Belshaz´zar a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the first.


And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:


Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.


And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.


And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.


For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.


It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.


Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;


And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.
