where were white, green, and blue hangings, fastened with cords of fine linen and purple to silver rings and pillars of marble: the beds were of gold and silver, upon a pavement of red, and blue, and white, and black marble.


Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.


and behold joy and gladness, slaying oxen, and killing sheep, eating flesh, and drinking wine: let us eat and drink; for tomorrow we shall die.


Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of E´phra-im, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!


Thou shalt not also go into the house of feasting, to sit with them to eat and to drink.

There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:


Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.
