2 Samuel 6:12 - King James Version - American Edition

12 And it was told king David, saying, The Lord hath blessed the house of O´bed–e´dom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of O´bed–e´dom into the city of David with gladness.

Nevertheless, David took the stronghold of Zion: the same is the city of David.


Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.


And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.


And they brought up the ark of the Lord, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, even those did the priests and the Levites bring up.


And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded, according to the word of the Lord.


So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the house of O´bed–e´dom with joy.
