Send one of you, and let him fetch your brother, and ye shall be kept in prison, that your words may be proved, whether there be any truth in you: or else by the life of Pharaoh surely ye are spies.


And Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed of them, and said unto them, Ye are spies; to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.


And the princes of the children of Ammon said unto Hanun their lord, Thinkest thou that David doth honor thy father, that he hath sent comforters unto thee? hath not David rather sent his servants unto thee, to search the city, and to spy it out, and to overthrow it?


Then Jo´ab came to the king, and said, What hast thou done? behold, Abner came unto thee; why is it that thou hast sent him away, and he is quite gone?


And when Jo´ab was come out from David, he sent messengers after Abner, which brought him again from the well of Sirah: but David knew it not.


And when Abner was returned to Hebron, Jo´ab took him aside in the gate to speak with him quietly, and smote him there under the fifth rib, that he died, for the blood of As´ahel his brother.


until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of oil olive and of honey, that ye may live, and not die: and hearken not unto Hezeki´ah, when he persuadeth you, saying, The Lord will deliver us.


The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.


But I know thy abode, and thy going out, and thy coming in, and thy rage against me.


which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the Lord be not as sheep which have no shepherd.


And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people.


Then answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also deceived?


Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.


Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
