The king said also unto Zadok the priest, Art not thou a seer? return into the city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahim´a-az thy son, and Jonathan the son of Abi´athar.


And hast thou not there with thee Zadok and Abi´athar the priests? therefore it shall be, that what thing soever thou shalt hear out of the king's house, thou shalt tell it to Zadok and Abi´athar the priests.


Behold, they have there with them their two sons, Ahim´a-az Zadok's son, and Jonathan Abi´athar's son; and by them ye shall send unto me every thing that ye can hear.


And while he yet spake, behold, Jonathan the son of Abi´athar the priest came: and Adoni´jah said unto him, Come in; for thou art a valiant man, and bringest good tidings.


And Adoni´jah slew sheep and oxen and fat cattle by the stone of Zo´heleth, which is by En–ro´gel, and called all his brethren the king's sons, and all the men of Judah the king's servants:


and the border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is before the going up to Adum´mim, which is on the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of En–she´mesh, and the goings out thereof were at En–ro´gel:


and the border came down to the end of the mountain that lieth before the valley of the son of Hinnom, and which is in the valley of the giants on the north, and descended to the valley of Hinnom, to the side of Jeb´usi on the south, and descended to En–ro´gel,
