And when they came down to him, Eli´sha prayed unto the Lord, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Eli´sha.


And it came to pass, when they were come into Samaria, that Eli´sha said, Lord, open the eyes of these men, that they may see. And the Lord opened their eyes, and they saw; and, behold, they were in the midst of Samaria.


Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.


And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.


But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.


And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
