After this thing Jerobo´am returned not from his evil way, but made again of the lowest of the people priests of the high places: whosoever would, he consecrated him, and he became one of the priests of the high places.


And he shall give Israel up because of the sins of Jerobo´am, who did sin, and who made Israel to sin.


but hast done evil above all that were before thee: for thou hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to provoke me to anger, and hast cast me behind thy back:


And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.

Moreover the altar that was at Beth–el, and the high place which Jerobo´am the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, had made, both that altar and the high place he brake down, and burned the high place, and stamped it small to powder, and burned the grove.
