And the sons of Josi´ah were, the firstborn Jo´hanan, the second Jehoi´akim, the third Zedeki´ah, the fourth Shallum.


Jehoi´akim was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord his God.


It came also in the days of Jehoi´akim the son of Josi´ah king of Judah, unto the end of the eleventh year of Zedeki´ah the son of Josi´ah king of Judah, unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month.


Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning Jehoi´akim the son of Josi´ah king of Judah; They shall not lament for him, saying, Ah my brother! or, Ah sister! they shall not lament for him, saying, Ah lord! or, Ah his glory!


He shall be buried with the burial of an ass, drawn and cast forth beyond the gates of Jerusalem.


In the beginning of the reign of Jehoi´akim the son of Josi´ah king of Judah came this word from the Lord, saying,


In the third year of the reign of Jehoi´akim king of Judah came Nebuchadnez´zar king of Babylon unto Jerusalem, and besieged it.
