And all the army of the Chaldees, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down the walls of Jerusalem round about.


So they took the king, and brought him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah; and they gave judgment upon him.


Wherefore the Lord brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manas´seh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.


And when the year was expired, king Nebuchadnez´zar sent, and brought him to Babylon, with the goodly vessels of the house of the Lord, and made Zedeki´ah his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem.


Against him came up Nebuchadnez´zar king of Babylon, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Babylon.


and from above the gate of E´phra-im, and above the old gate, and above the fish gate, and the tower of Han´aneel, and the tower of Me´ah, even unto the sheep gate: and they stood still in the prison gate.


So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of E´phra-im.


Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.


A man's pride shall bring him low: but honor shall uphold the humble in spirit.


Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the city shall be built to the Lord from the tower of Han´aneel unto the gate of the corner.


Now I Nebuchadnez´zar praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.


All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Han´aneel unto the king's winepresses.


For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
