Only the people sacrificed in high places, because there was no house built unto the name of the Lord, until those days.


And Solomon loved the Lord, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places.


But Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house.


And Jeho´ash king of Judah took all the hallowed things that Jehosh´aphat, and Jeho´ram, and Ahazi´ah, his fathers, kings of Judah, had dedicated, and his own hallowed things, and all the gold that was found in the treasures of the house of the Lord, and in the king's house, and sent it to Haz´a-el king of Syria: and he went away from Jerusalem.


let the priests take it to them, every man of his acquaintance: and let them repair the breaches of the house, wheresoever any breach shall be found.


Howbeit the high places were not taken away: as yet the people did sacrifice and burnt incense on the high places.

I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.


And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.


and brought in the offerings and the tithes and the dedicated things faithfully: over which Conani´ah the Levite was ruler, and Shim´e-i his brother was the next.


And he set the priests in their charges, and encouraged them to the service of the house of the Lord,


And all they that were about them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with beasts, and with precious things, besides all that was willingly offered.


they gave after their ability unto the treasure of the work threescore and one thousand drams of gold, and five thousand pounds of silver, and one hundred priests' garments.


and all the silver and gold that thou canst find in all the province of Babylon, with the freewill offering of the people, and of the priests, offering willingly for the house of their God which is in Jerusalem:


And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing-hearted, and brought bracelets, and earrings, and rings, and tablets, all jewels of gold: and every man that offered, offered an offering of gold unto the Lord.


The children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the Lord, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the Lord had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.


Take ye from among you an offering unto the Lord: whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the Lord; gold, and silver, and brass,


and they received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it withal. And they brought yet unto him free offerings every morning.


And if a man will at all redeem aught of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof.


for all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.
