nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.


Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.


Now Cai´aphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.


All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.


Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
