And the rest of the acts of Jerobo´am, how he warred, and how he reigned, behold, they are written in the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel.


And the days which Jerobo´am reigned were two and twenty years: and he slept with his fathers, and Nadab his son reigned in his stead.


Three years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Ma´achah, the daughter of Abish´alom.


And after her he took Ma´achah the daughter of Ab´salom; which bare him Abi´jah, and At´tai, and Ziza, and Shelo´mith.


Now the acts of Rehobo´am, first and last, are they not written in the book of Shemai´ah the prophet, and of Iddo the seer concerning genealogies? And there were wars between Rehobo´am and Jerobo´am continually.


And Abi´jah set the battle in array with an army of valiant men of war, even four hundred thousand chosen men: Jerobo´am also set the battle in array against him with eight hundred thousand chosen men, being mighty men of valor.


and Zelah, Eleph, and Jeb´usi, which is Jerusalem, Gib´e-ath, and Kirjath; fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the children of Benjamin according to their families.


And they passed on and went their way; and the sun went down upon them when they were by Gib´e-ah, which belongeth to Benjamin.


And, behold, there came an old man from his work out of the field at even, which was also of mount E´phra-im; and he sojourned in Gib´e-ah: but the men of the place were Benjamites.


And Saul also went home to Gib´e-ah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched.
