And Timna was concubine to El´iphaz Esau's son; and she bare to El´iphaz Am´alek: these were the sons of Adah Esau's wife.


And he said unto me, Who art thou? And I answered him, I am an Amal´ekite.


And the Lord said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Am´alek from under heaven.


thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;


And when he looked on Am´alek, he took up his parable, and said, Am´alek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish for ever.


Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.


and he took it, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof; and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed all the souls that were therein; he left none remaining: as he had done to Hebron, so he did to Debir, and to the king thereof; as he had done also to Libnah, and to her king.


And he gathered a host, and smote the Amal´ekites, and delivered Israel out of the hands of them that spoiled them.
