And the king of Israel went out, and smote the horses and chariots, and slew the Syrians with a great slaughter.


For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Se´ir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Se´ir, every one helped to destroy another.


And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbor; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.


And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord God: every man's sword shall be against his brother.


And the three hundred blew the trumpets, and the Lord set every man's sword against his fellow, even throughout all the host: and the host fled to Beth–shit´tah in Zer´erath, and to the border of A´bel–meho´lah, unto Tabbath.


And the watchmen of Saul in Gib´e-ah of Benjamin looked; and, behold, the multitude melted away, and they went on beating down one another.
