And it came to pass, when Hu´shai the Archite, David's friend, was come unto Ab´salom, that Hu´shai said unto Ab´salom, God save the king, God save the king.


let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto the Lord in Gib´e-ah of Saul, whom the Lord did choose. And the king said, I will give them.


Otherwise it shall come to pass, when my lord the king shall sleep with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon shall be counted offenders.

And he had a son, whose name was Saul, a choice young man, and a goodly: and there was not among the children of Israel a goodlier person than he: from his shoulders and upward he was higher than any of the people.
