that the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.


One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.


The voice of the Lord maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.


But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.


then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the doorpost; and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl; and he shall serve him for ever.


And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the Lord, and wept sore.


And Samuel lay until the morning, and opened the doors of the house of the Lord. And Samuel feared to show Eli the vision.


and ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep;


And when he came, lo, Eli sat upon a seat by the wayside watching: for his heart trembled for the ark of God. And when the man came into the city, and told it, all the city cried out.
