The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.


And David perceived that the Lord had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel's sake.


And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice unto all his people.


And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him to do judgment.


And it came to pass, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed be the Lord this day, which hath given unto David a wise son over this great people.


For thy people Israel didst thou make thine own people for ever; and thou, Lord, becamest their God.


Then Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, Because the Lord hath loved his people, he hath made thee king over them.


He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.


He trusted on the Lord that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.


He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.


Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my Spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.


Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Heph´zibah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.


For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.


Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.


The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee.


I have loved you, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the Lord: yet I loved Jacob,


but because the Lord loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
