And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.


even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;


John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.


And a certain Jew named Apol´los, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the Scriptures, came to Ephesus.


And it came to pass, that, while Apol´los was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus; and finding certain disciples,


that I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.


And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.


As touching our brother Apol´los, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time.


According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.


whether Paul, or Apol´los, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;


So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.


For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.


Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool,) I am more; in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft.


forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshly tables of the heart.


who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.


Therefore, seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;


For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.


But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.


And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;


We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.


but in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,


Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.


if ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;


whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;


And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;


As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
