And the sons of Ulam; Bedan. These were the sons of Gil´e-ad, the son of Machir, the son of Manas´seh.


And the sons of Shemi´dah were, Ahi´an, and Shechem, and Likhi, and Ani´am.


These are the sons of Gil´e-ad: of Je-e´zer, the family of the Je-e´zerites: of Helek, the family of the He´lekites:


There was also a lot for the rest of the children of Manas´seh by their families; for the children of Abi-e´zer, and for the children of Helek, and for the children of As´ri-el, and for the children of Shechem, and for the children of Hepher, and for the children of Shemi´da: these were the male children of Manas´seh the son of Joseph by their families.


And there came an angel of the Lord, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Jo´ash the Abi-ez´rite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Mid´i-anites.


Then Gideon built an altar there unto the Lord, and called it Jehovah–sha´lom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abi-ez´rites.


But the Spirit of the Lord came upon Gideon, and he blew a trumpet; and Abi-e´zer was gathered after him.


And he said unto them, What have I done now in comparison of you? Is not the gleaning of the grapes of E´phra-im better than the vintage of Abi-e´zer?
