And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee and to thy seed after thee.


And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.


And he erected there an altar, and called it El–El´ohe–Israel.


and he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,


And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy.


And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.


Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechari´ah, Je-i´el, and Shemir´amoth, and Jehi´el, and Mattithi´ah, and Eli´ab, and Benai´ah, and O´bed–e´dom: and Je-i´el with psalteries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals;


Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.


And David distributed them, both Zadok of the sons of Ele-a´zar, and Ahim´elech of the sons of Ith´amar, according to their offices in their service.


Moreover David and the captains of the host separated to the service of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jedu´thun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of the workmen according to their service was:


And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the Lord, after that the ark had rest.


it came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord;


And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the Lord, after the ordinance of David king of Israel.


And the chief of the Levites: Hashabi´ah, Sherebi´ah, and Jesh´u-a the son of Kad´mi-el, with their brethren over against them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward over against ward.


Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:


Remember his marvelous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;


Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the Lord.


Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.


Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord.


Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.
