Who is he that hides counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered what I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.


I said in my haste, All men are liars.


For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before your eyes: nevertheless you heard the voice of my supplications when I cried unto you.


So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before you.


I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times.


Your right hand, O LORD, has become glorious in power: your right hand, O LORD, has dashed in pieces the enemy.


Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of your holiness and of your glory: where is your zeal and your strength, the yearning of your heart and of your mercies toward me? are they restrained?


And immediately the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help my unbelief.


Or has God ever ventured to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?
