Your testimonies have I taken as a heritage forever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart.


Let your hand help me; for I have chosen your precepts.


I have chosen the way of truth: your judgments have I laid before me.


I cried unto you, O LORD: I said, you are my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.


As for me, I will behold your face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with your likeness.


One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.


Whom have I in heaven but you? and there is none upon earth that I desire besides you.


Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.


For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own life?


And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.

But Abraham said, Son, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and you are tormented.


Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet you lack one thing: sell all that you have, and distribute unto the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.


Take heed therefore how you hear: for whosoever has, to him shall be given; and whosoever has not, from him shall be taken even that which he seems to have.


Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.


And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.


Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odor of the ointment.


And this is life eternal, that they might know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.


But whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.


Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears my word, and believes on him that sent me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.


Labor not for the food which perishes, but for that food which endures unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for on him has God the Father set his seal.


And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not love, it profits me nothing.


For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision avails anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which works by love.


I call heaven and earth as witness this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live:


And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.


And Joshua said unto the people, You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen the LORD, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses.
