And Micaiah said, If you return at all in peace, the LORD has not spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, O people, every one of you.


Therefore hearken unto me, you men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.


How much less to him that regards not the persons of princes, nor regards the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.


It is turned as clay under the seal; and they stand out as a garment.


And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.


There is one that makes himself rich, yet has nothing: there is one that makes himself poor, yet has great riches.


Hearken unto me now therefore, O you children, and attend to the words of my mouth.


Now therefore hearken unto me, O you children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.


What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That the LORD has founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it.


The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.


I will also leave in the midst of you an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD.


And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of the LORD.


And I will feed the flock of slaughter, even you, O poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staffs; the one I called Grace, and the other I called Unity; and I fed the flock.


The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.


Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:


Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.


And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand:


So is he that lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.


Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.


And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;


But Abraham said, Son, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and you are tormented.


And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father has appointed unto me;


And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be you poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.


Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him?


And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Haran,


And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, so that we may be also glorified together.


But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him.


For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many increase to the glory of God.


As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.


For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might be rich.


The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what is the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,


Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;


That you would walk worthy of God, who has called you unto his kingdom and glory.


Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer:


That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to share;


And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.


Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.


Esteeming the reproach of the Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he looked for the recompense of the reward.


Blessed is the man that endures trial: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them that love him.


Do not err, my beloved brethren.


Therefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger:


Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:


To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for you,


For so an entrance shall be provided unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.


I know your works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but you are rich) and I know the blasphemy of them who say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.


He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.


I counsel you to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that you may be rich; and white clothing, that you may be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness does not appear; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.


And when they told it to Jotham, he went and stood in the top of mount Gerizim, and lifted up his voice, and cried, and said unto them, Hearken unto me, you men of Shechem, that God may hearken unto you.


Therefore the LORD God of Israel says, I said indeed that your house, and the house of your father, should walk before me forever: but now the LORD says, Be it far from me; for them that honor me I will honor, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.


He raises up the poor out of the dust, and lifts up the beggar from the rubbish, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD's, and he has set the world upon them.
