For I delighted in mercy and not sacrifice; the knowledge of God more than burnt-offerings.


And if ye knew what it is, I will mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the innocent.


And having gone, learn what is this, I wish mercy, and not sacrifice: for I came not to call the just, but the sinful to repentance.


And love thou Jehovah thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy might


Farther back, saying, That sacrifice and bringing in and whole burnt offerings and for sin thou wouldest not, neither wert contented with; which are brought in according to law;
