In the year of six hundred years of Noah's life, in the second month, in the seventeenth day of the month, in the same day all the fountains of the great deep were divided and the sluices of the heavens were opened.


And the rain shall be upon the earth forty days and forty nights.


For yet seven days, and I will give rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights: and I will wipe out every living thing which I made from the face of the earth.


Didst thou go even to the fountains of the sea? and didst thou go about in searching the depth?


Who shall number the clouds in wisdom? and who shall cause the bottles of heaven to lie down?


In his making firm the clouds from above: in his strengthening the fountains of the deep:


And thou wilt cast me into the depth, into the heart of the seas; and the river will surround me: all thy breakers and thy waves passed over me.


For I also am a man under power, having soldiers under me: and I say to this, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does.
