Come, ye sons, hear to me: I will teach you the fear of Jehovah.


Who the man desiring life, loving days, to see good?


Hear to thy father that begat thee, and thou shalt not despise thy mother when growing old.


My son, thou shalt give thy heart to me, and thine eyes shall delight in my way.


My son, attend to my wisdom; incline thine ear to understanding:


My son, watch the commands of thy father, and thou shalt not reject the laws of thy mother:


My son, watch my words, and thou shalt hide my commands with thee.


And now, ye sons, hear to me, and attend to the sayings of my mouth.


And now ye sons, hear to me: and the happy shall watch my ways.
