When Jesus came to where Zacchaeus was, he looked up and saw him in the tree. Jesus said, “Zacchaeus, hurry! Come down! I must stay at your house today.”


“When you go into the city, you will see a man carrying a jar of water. Follow him. He will go into a house.


Then the owner will show you a large room upstairs that is ready for us. Prepare the meal there.”


After Martha said these things, she went back to her sister Mary. She talked to Mary alone and said, “The Teacher is here. He is asking for you.”


Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and eat with you. And you will eat with me.
