They are people who refuse to obey, so they may not listen to you. But even if they don’t stop sinning, at least they will know that there is a prophet living among them.


And if the people in a home or a town refuse to welcome you or listen to you, then leave that place and shake the dust off your feet.


When you go, tell them this: ‘God’s kingdom is now very near.’


John said, “Change your hearts and lives, because God’s kingdom is now very near.”


If any town refuses to accept you or refuses to listen to you, then leave that town and shake the dust off your feet as a warning to them.”


“But if you go into a town and the people don’t welcome you, then go out into the streets of that town and say,


Heal the sick people who live there, and tell them, ‘God’s kingdom is now very near you!’


If the people in the town will not welcome you, go outside the town and shake the dust off your feet as a warning to them.”


“My brothers, sons in the family of Abraham, and you other people who also worship the true God, listen! The news about this salvation has been sent to us.


So be careful! Don’t let what the prophets said happen to you:

This is what the Scripture says: “God’s teaching is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart.” It is the teaching of faith that we tell people.


The Son shows the glory of God. He is a perfect copy of God’s nature, and he holds everything together by his powerful command. The Son made people clean from their sins. Then he sat down at the right side of God, the Great One in heaven.
