7 The coast will be for the remnant of the house of Yehudah. They will find pasture. In the houses of Ashkelon, they will lie down in the evening, for the LORD, their God, will visit them, and restore them.

Yosef said to his brothers, *I am dying, but God will surely visit you, and bring you up out of this land to the land which he swore to Avraham, to Yitzchak, and to Ya`akov.*


Turn again, we beg you, God Tzeva'ot. Look down from heaven, and see, and visit this vine,


The people believed, and when they heard that the LORD had visited the children of Yisra'el, and that he had seen their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped.


It will happen in that day that the Lord will set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant that is left of his people from Ashur, from Egypt, from Patros, from Kush, from `Elam, from Shin`ar, from Chamat, and from the islands of the sea.


They will fly down on the shoulders of the Pelishtim on the west. Together they will plunder the children of the east. They will extend their power over Edom and Mo'av, and the children of `Ammon will obey them.


There will be a highway for the remnant that is left of his people from Ashur, like there was for Yisra'el in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.


For the LORD will have compassion on Ya`akov, and will yet choose Yisra'el, and set them in their own land. The foreigner will join himself with them, and they will unite with the house of Ya`akov.


For the palace will be forsaken. The populous city will be deserted. The hill and the watchtower will be for dens forever, a delight for wild donkeys, a pasture of flocks;


I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and multiply.


For thus says the LORD, After seventy years are accomplished for Bavel, I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.


I will be found by you, says the LORD, and I will turn again your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places where I have driven you, says the LORD; and I will bring you again to the place from where I caused you to be carried away captive.


In those days the house of Yehudah shall walk with the house of Yisra'el, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I gave for an inheritance to your fathers.


For, behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will turn again the captivity of my people Yisra'el and Yehudah, says the LORD; and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.


For thus says the LORD, Sing with gladness for Ya`akov, and shout for the chief of the nations: publish you, praise you, and say, the LORD, save your people, the remnant of Yisra'el.


Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe the deeds, and seal them, and call witnesses, in the land of Binyamin, and in the places about Yerushalayim, and in the cities of Yehudah, and in the cities of the hill country, and in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the South: for I will cause their captivity to return, says the LORD.


Thus says the LORD of Armies: Yet again shall there be in this place, which is waste, without man and without animal, and in all the cities of it, a habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.


I will cause the captivity of Yehudah and the captivity of Yisra'el to return, and will build them, as at the first.


Baldness is come on `Aza; Ashkelon is brought to nothing, the remnant of their valley: how long will you cut yourself?


Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Now will I bring back the captivity of Ya`akov, and have mercy on the whole house of Yisra'el; and I will be jealous for my holy name.


*Also, Yehudah, there is a harvest appointed for you, when I restore the fortunes of my people.


Those of the South will possess the mountain of Esav, and those of the lowland, the Pelishtim. They will possess the field of Efrayim, and the field of Shomron. Binyamin will possess Gil`ad.


I will surely assemble, Ya`akov, all of you; I will surely gather the remnant of Yisra'el; I will put them together as the sheep of Botzrah, as a flock in the midst of their pasture; they will swarm with people.


Be in pain, and labor to bring forth, daughter of Tziyon, like a woman in travail; yor now you will go forth out of the city, and will dwell in the field, and will come even to Bavel. There you will be rescued. There the LORD will redeem you from the hand of your enemies.


and I will make that which was lame a remnant, and that which was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD will reign over them on Mount Tziyon from then on, even forever.*


Therefore as I live, says the LORD of Armies, the God of Yisra'el, surely Mo'av will be as Sedom, and the children of `Ammon as `Amorah, a possession of nettles, and salt pits, and a perpetual desolation. The remnant of my people will plunder them, and the survivors of my nation will inherit them.


The remnant of Yisra'el will not do iniquity, nor speak lies, neither will a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth, for they will feed and lie down, and no one will make them afraid.*


At that time will I bring you in, and at that time will I gather you; for I will give you honor and praise among all the peoples of the earth, when I bring back your captivity before your eyes, says the LORD.


Then Zerubbavel, the son of She'alti'el, and Yehoshua, the son of Yehotzadak, the Kohen Gadol, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD, their God, and the words of Chaggai, the prophet, as the LORD, their God, had sent him; and the people feared the LORD.


*Speak now to Zerubbavel, the son of She'alti'el, governor of Yehudah, and to Yehoshua, the son of Yehotzadak, the Kohen Gadol, and to the remnant of the people, saying,


*Blessed be the Lord, the God of Yisra'el, for he has visited and worked redemption for his people;


Fear took hold of all, and they glorified God, saying, *A great prophet has arisen among us!* and, *God has visited his people!*


But an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, *Arise, and go toward the south to the way that goes down from Yerushalayim to `Aza. This is a desert.*


But Philip was found at Ashdod. Passing through, he preached the Good News to all the cities, until he came to Caesarea.


Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.


Then she arose with her daughters-in-law, that she might return from the country of Mo'av: for she had heard in the country of Mo'av how that the LORD had visited his people in giving them bread.
