The word of the LORD that came to Yirmeyahu the prophet concerning the Pelishtim, before that Par`oh struck `Aza.


*Yes, and what are you to me, Tzor, and Tzidon, and all the regions of Peleshet? Will you repay me? And if you repay me, I will swiftly and speedily return your repayment on your own head.


Thus says the LORD: *For three transgressions of `Aza, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment; because they carried away captive the whole community, to deliver them up to Edom;


I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him who holds the scepter from Ashkelon; and I will turn my hand against `Ekron; and the remnant of the Pelishtim will perish,* says the Lord GOD.


Behold, the Lord will dispossess her, and he will strike her power in the sea; and she will be devoured with fire.


Foreigners will dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Pelishtim.


But an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, *Arise, and go toward the south to the way that goes down from Yerushalayim to `Aza. This is a desert.*
