The LORD turned the captivity of Iyov, when he prayed for his friends. The LORD gave Iyov twice as much as he had before.


They shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison; and after many days shall they be visited.


For She'ol can't praise you. Death can't celebrate you. Those who go down into the pit can't hope for your truth.


*Speak comfortably to Yerushalayim; and call out to her that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received of the LORD's hand double for all her sins.*


saying to those who are bound, Go forth; to those who are in darkness, Show yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and on all bare heights shall be their pasture.


Shake yourself from the dust; arise, sit [on your throne], Yerushalayim: loose yourself from the bonds of your neck, captive daughter of Tziyon.


Instead of your shame [you shall have] double; and instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be to them.


You hope of Yisra'el, the Savior of it in the time of trouble, why should you be as a foreigner in the land, and as a wayfaring man who turns aside to stay for a night?


LORD, my strength, and my stronghold, and my refuge in the day of affliction, to you shall the nations come from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Our fathers have inherited nothing but lies, [even] vanity and things in which there is no profit.


LORD, the hope of Yisra'el, all who forsake you shall be disappointed. Those who depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the spring of living waters.


There is hope for your latter end, says the LORD; and [your] children shall come again to their own border.


For there shall be a day, that the watchmen on the hills of Efrayim shall cry, Arise you, and let us go up to Tziyon to the LORD our God.


The voice of those who flee and escape out of the land of Bavel, to declare in Tziyon the vengeance of the LORD our God, the vengeance of his temple.


The LORD has brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us declare in Tziyon the work of the LORD our God.


Then he said to me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Yisra'el: behold, they say, Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost; we are clean cut off.


I will give her vineyards from there, and the valley of `Akhor for a door of hope; and she will respond there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.


The LORD will roar from Tziyon, and thunder from Yerushalayim; and the heavens and the earth will shake; but the LORD will be a refuge to his people, and a stronghold to the children of Yisra'el.


You, tower of the flock, the hill of the daughter of Tziyon, to you it will come, yes, the former dominion will come, the kingdom of the daughter of Yerushalayim.


The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in him.


that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to take hold of the hope set before us.


This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and entering into that which is within the veil;
