He was an adversary to Yisra'el all the days of Shlomo, besides the mischief that Chadad [did]: and he abhorred Yisra'el, and reigned over Syria.


Therefore the LORD burned with anger against his people. He abhorred his inheritance.


The arrogant shall not stand in your sight. You hate all workers of iniquity.


The children of Efrayim, being armed and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle.


Thus says the LORD, the Redeemer of Yisra'el, [and] his Holy One, to him whom man despises, to him whom the nation abhors, to a servant of rulers: Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall worship; because of the LORD who is faithful, [even] the Holy One of Yisra'el, who has chosen you.


My heritage is become to me as a lion in the forest: she has uttered her voice against me; therefore I have hated her.


Do not abhor [us], for your name's sake; do not disgrace the throne of your glory: remember, don't break your covenant with us.


Refuse silver shall men them, because the LORD has rejected them.


that I may take the house of Yisra'el in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.


You are the daughter of your mother, who loathes her husband and her children; and you are the sister of your sisters, who loathed their husbands and their children: your mother was a Chittite, and your father an Amori.

I will set my tent among you: and my soul won't abhor you.


I will destroy your high places, and cut down your incense altars, and cast your dead bodies upon the bodies of your idols; and my soul will abhor you.


Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them; for I am the LORD their God;
