He said, Come with me, and see my zeal for the LORD. So they made him ride in his chariot.


Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and don't call on the LORD?


It isn't good to have zeal without knowledge; nor being hasty with one's feet and missing the way.


In that day, the LORD with his hard and great and strong sword will punish livyatan, the fleeing serpent, and livyatan the twisted serpent; and he will kill the dragon that is in the sea.


They will put you out of the synagogues. Yes, the time comes that whoever kills you will think that he offers service to God.


They, when they heard it, glorified God. They said to him, *You see, brother, how many thousands there are among the Judeans of those who have believed, and they are all zealous for the Torah.

Brothers, my heart's desire and my prayer to God is for Yisra'el, that they may be saved.

I advanced in traditional Judaism beyond many of my own age among my countrymen, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.


What was the blessing you enjoyed? For I testify to you that, if possible, you would have plucked out your eyes and given them to me.


This I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment;


concerning zeal, persecuting the assembly; concerning the righteousness which is in the Torah, found blameless.


For I testify about him, that he has great zeal for you, and for those in Laodicea, and for those in Hierapolis.
