Let my prayer be set before you like incense; the lifting up of my hands like the evening sacrifice.


He put the golden altar in the tent of meeting before the veil;


Then one of the serafim flew to me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar.


The altar was of wood, three cubits high, and the length of it two cubits; and the corners of it, and the length of it, and the walls of it, were of wood: and he said to me, This is the table that is before the LORD.


I saw the Lord standing beside the altar, and he said, *Strike the tops of the pillars, that the thresholds may shake; and break them in pieces on the head of all of them; and I will kill the last of them with the sword: there shall not one of them flee away, and there shall not one of them escape.


For from the rising of the sun even to the going down of the same, my name is great among the nations, and in every place incense will be offered to my name, and a pure offering: for my name is great among the nations,* says the LORD of Armies.

The whole multitude of the people were praying outside at the hour of incense.

The angel took the censer, and he filled it with the fire of the altar, and threw it on the earth. There followed thunders, sounds, lightnings, and an earthquake.


The sixth angel sounded. I heard a voice from the horns of the golden altar which is before God,
