He carried away all Yerushalayim, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valor, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and the smiths; none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.


But the captain of the guard left of the poorest of the land to work the vineyards and fields.


Hasatan answered the LORD, and said, *Skin for skin. Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life.


If a ransom is laid on him, then he shall give for the redemption of his life whatever is laid on him.


There are some who pretend to be rich, yet have nothing. There are some who pretend to be poor, yet have great wealth.


The light of the righteous shines brightly, but the lamp of the wicked is snuffed out.


The crown of the wise is their riches, but the folly of fools crowns them with folly.


He won't regard any ransom, neither will he rest content, though you give many gifts.


But Nevuzar'adan 1 the captain of the guard left of the poor of the people, who had nothing, in the land of Yehudah, and gave them vineyards and fields at the same time.

Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
