For I am full of words. The spirit within me constrains me.


Cry aloud, don't spare, lift up your voice like a shofar, and declare to my people their disobedience, and to the house of Ya`akov their sins.


The Spirit of the Lord GOD is on me; because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the humble; he has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening [of the prison] to those who are bound;


to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;


For, behold, I have made you this day a fortified city, and an iron pillar, and bronze walls, against the whole land, against the kings of Yehudah, against the princes of it, against the Kohanim of it, and against the people of the land.


If I say, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name, then there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with forbearing, and I can't [contain].


Therefore I am full of the wrath of the LORD; I am weary with holding in: pour it out on the children in the street, and on the assembly of young men together; for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him who is full of days.


Your prophets have seen for you false and foolish visions; They have not uncovered your iniquity, to bring back your captivity, But have seen for you false oracles and causes of banishment.


Son of man, cause Yerushalayim to know her abominations;


Will you judge them, son of man, will you judge them? Cause them to know the abominations of their fathers;


You, son of man, will you judge, will you judge the bloody city? then cause her to know all her abominations.


The LORD said moreover to me: Son of man, will you judge Oholah and Oholivah? then declare to them their abominations.


So the Spirit lifted me up, and took me away; and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; and the hand of the LORD was strong on me.


You, son of man, show the house to the house of Yisra'el, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and let them measure the pattern.


for he taught them with authority, and not like the scribes.
