He left the oxen, and ran after Eliyahu, and said, Let me, I pray you, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow you. He said to him, Go back again; for what have I done to you?


He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me isn't worthy of me.


Going on a little further from there, he saw Ya`akov Ben-Zavdai, and Yochanan, his brother, who were also in the boat mending the nets.


They went into Kefar-Nachum, and immediately on the day of Shabbat he entered into the synagogue and taught.

When they had brought their boats to land, they left everything, and followed him.


Therefore we know no one after the flesh from now on. Even though we have known Messiah after the flesh, yet now we know him so no more.
