Then Avimelekh called Avraham, and said to him, *What have you done to us? How have I sinned against you, that you have brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? You have done deeds to me that ought not to be done!*


Who can discern his errors? Forgive me from hidden errors.


Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins. Let them not have dominion over me. Then I will be upright. I will be blameless and innocent of great transgression.


Don't allow your mouth to lead you into sin. Don't protest before the messenger that this was a mistake. Why should God be angry at your voice, and destroy the work of your hands?


*'If a man eats something holy unwittingly, then he shall add the fifth part of its value to it, and shall give the holy thing to the Kohen.


The LORD spoke to Moshe, saying,


*'If the whole congregation of Yisra'el sins, and the thing is hidden from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done any of the things which the LORD has commanded not to be done, and are guilty;


*'When a ruler sins, and unwittingly does any one of all the things which the LORD his God has commanded not to be done, and is guilty;


*'If anyone of the common people sins unwittingly, in doing any of the things which the LORD has commanded not to be done, and is guilty;


then you shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you, that the manslayer who kills any person unwittingly may flee there.


This is the case of the manslayer, that shall flee there and live: whoever kills his neighbor unawares, and didn't hate him in time past;


although I was before a blasphemer, a persecutor, and insolent. However, I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.


The Kohen Gadol can deal gently with those who are ignorant and going astray, because he himself is also surrounded with weakness.


but into the second the Kohen Gadol alone, once in the year, not without blood, which he offers for himself, and for the errors of the people.


Out of the same mouth comes forth blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.


But Yonatan didn't hear when his father charged the people with the oath: therefore he put forth the end of the rod who was in his hand, and dipped it in the honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth; and his eyes were enlightened.
